As an artist, I’ve always believed in the power of storytelling and representation, especially when empowering girls and women. But it’s not just about the stories we tell on paper or screen; it’s also about supporting real-life initiatives that create change.

That’s why I’m proud to participate in PlanBørnefonden’s PERIOD initiative, which celebrates Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28th.

I was deeply moved when I first learned about the work being done within their projects. Period poverty isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s something that holds girls back from education, from opportunities, and from living with dignity. The fact that so many young girls in Kenya miss school or suffer in silence simply because they don’t have access to menstrual products is heartbreaking—and unacceptable.

PlanBørnefonden is doing incredible work by providing sanitary products and creating safe spaces for girls to talk, learn, and grow. It’s about restoring confidence and ensuring that periods don’t get in the way of dreams.

To support this cause, I’ve created a fundraiser with the goal of raising $3,000, which will directly support PlanBørnefonden's work with girls and menstrual hygiene.
